My name is Tong Hoang Phuc, and welcome to my very first blog of my all food experiences while I am living in the city Montreal of Canada. Moving here as Vietnamese international student studying the hospitality business, the new life in Canada brought me a whole fresh breeze in terms of various aspects, especially the culture and the cuisine.
Personally, I would say I am a gourmet, and I always seek to try as many cuisines as possible. Vietnamese cuisine, personally, is a diverse cuisine background with many genres, displayed by several dishes, which are both Vietnamese-original and internationally based. I spent 18 years before leaving Vietnam to taste every single signature dishes from each parts of my country, which then develops my curiosity about the international cuisines. Food, to me, is the proof of the whole length of the history of humanity, which is diverse in each country. It defines the culture and the country itself. Studying in the hotel management major brought me dozens of opportunities to experience elegant dishes, mostly about French cuisine, to socialize with other students coming from countries around the world, and to interact as well as acknowledging different cuisines and cultures.
